About Chris
When Chris was 12 years old he read a job description for “Minister” and decided that was what he wanted to do with his life. He told his Mother who said, “That’s very nice but we don’t believe in God.” And it was true, he’d been raised to be an agnostic leaning toward atheism. He was also raised in a broken home with alcoholism, physical and emotional abuse and parental neglect. Chris said his childhood background gave him "a hole in my heart." As a result, these became the driving questions in his life with a dedicated search for answers: “Who am I?” “Why am I alive?” “What does it all mean, if anything?” “Is there really a God? And, if there is, why is my life so terrible?” He tried to find the answer in fulfilling work, experimenting with several varied career paths but none of these provided meaning. He went to college and studied Psychology and medicine, earning both Psychology and Nursing degrees and worked for many years in mental health but academics did not hold the answer.
