Kenny’s parents divorced when he was 5 years-old. His father left and never looked back. The only father figure he had was a man who was continually in and out of prison. The lack of structure and guidance along with a void in his heart led him to trying methamphetamine at the age of 13 resulting in years of struggle with multiple addictions.
Karinne was born to a couple who suffered from severe addiction to heroin and alcohol. At the age of 5 she was removed from her home and placed into the foster care system. She was eventually adopted by a Christian couple but deep-rooted traumas led her to self-medicating with alcohol from a very young age. For many years she was tormented by a constant craving for alcohol.
Karinne met Regina in 2010 as part of Regina’s beloved “Girls Group.” Four years later Kenny became involved with Chris and Regina’s CRS Ministries and had a life changing encounter with the Holy Spirit, freeing him from addiction. Shortly thereafter, Chris and Regina led Karinne through deliverance. A spirit of addiction was cast out, never to return; all craving for alcohol was instantly removed, she was freed from alcoholism.
Kenny and Karinne are a dynamic husband and wife team. They boldly share their faith. Each is uniquely gifted, and equipped with powerful testimonies of God’s redemption and grace. Kenny, a natural leader, has a heart to pray for the addicted and the fatherless. While Karinne, a gifted counselor and seer, touches lives in her hair salon where she is lovingly referred to as a “hair-apist.” They love being parents to their two beautiful children.
The youngest on the CREW, Chelsey carries a unique capacity to connect with and challenge other millennials in their journey toward an authentic faith. Growing up with instability in an ever-changing environment drove Chelsey to seek God through every means she could find including; used worship CD’s, late night 700 Club re-runs and devouring The Message Bible gifted to her by a church volunteer.
Chelsey, foreign to Christian culture, was met with the presence and power of the Holy Spirit as a pre-teen. She became resolute in her choice to live with a continual “yes” to Jesus, even as she saw many falling away from faith around her. A fresh love for people and for God led to her first missionary trip to Belize at 14 years-old which was the beginning of many adventures in missions. God has since sent her to Mexico, El Salvador, and Turkey. Most recently she led a ministry to kids in inner-city Barrio Logan appropriately named, “Hope.”
Ministry burnout following 8 years as a minister to college students resulted in a “quarter-life crisis” which led Chelsey to CRS Ministries in 2015. There God healed her, brought new freedom, and reignited her Call to ministry. She recently completed a Bilingual teaching credential.
Chelsey loves watching people experience Jesus as she prays. She holds that love is a game changer and justice paired with righteousness is non-negotiable in God’s kingdom.
Born near Lapeer, MI into a large Catholic family of nine, Donna’s life held; abuse, insecurity, control, manipulation, brokenness and trauma; first at home, then later in her marriage. The only bright spot was the birth of two beautiful daughters.
By her mid-thirties Donna felt “broken” and was desperate for change; she gave her life to Christ and began a powerful, personal relationship with Jesus. The Holy Spirit started healing her soul. Her first question to the Holy Spirit was, “How do I change my husband?” He answered, “Leave your husband to Me, and begin to work on yourself.” With this as her catalyst, the Holy Spirit became her teacher and everyday was new. The Lord encouraged her to pursue a teaching degree at age 40. This challenge satisfied her desire for positive change, independence, strength, and to be more Christ-like.
Once, the Lord gave Donna a vision; she saw herself as a child, playing alone, hiding to escape the household chaos. She saw Jesus watching over her; He said He was always with her and had never left her. Jesus’ hand of protection remained on her, Donna escaped death when her husband tragically committed suicide.
The revelation of the need for inner healing transformed Donna’s life. She has a thirty-year relationship and friendship with Chris, Regina and CRS Ministries. As an intercessor, teacher, and minister, she has shared her powerful testimony of victory and the power of the Holy Spirit in Haiti, Guatemala, Israel, and the USA. Her life is now one of joy and blessings.
Both Caleb and Katy grew up in loving Christian homes with supportive, caring parents. Caleb, as a “PK” (pastor’s kid), grew up in the Vineyard movement and has a rich history of being part of a move of God. The two married in 2005 eventually becoming missionaries to Thailand and later had two beautiful daughters.
Despite this start, there were problems and some painful choices put them on the road to divorce. BUT, God had other plans. They began intensive marital counseling but it wasn't until Chris and Regina introduced them to the Holy Spirit that His power completely healed their hearts and marriage.
Caleb once believed he was not worthy of God's love or blessings and felt he had to suffer for God. Now Caleb carries the Father’s heart for people and burns for the body of Christ to understand how FUN God is!
Katy knows the power of the Holy Spirit can change anyone in a moment. She was completely set free from shame, addiction and torment when Holy Spirit was invited to minister directly to her heart. Katy carries this breakthrough into her walk with others.
Together with the power of Holy Spirit, Caleb and Katy have overcome what was intended to destroy them and found Victory. What Satan intends for harm, God will use for good (Gen 50:20). Now, they are in hot pursuit of King Jesus, desiring to bring His kingdom to all places at all times. And, they both do so in their work; Caleb is a 7th-grade History teacher at Bethel School and Katy is a Neonatal Intensive Care Nurse. Caleb and Katy are graduates of Bethel School of Supernatural Ministry in Redding CA (Caleb of BSSM2, Katy of BSSM1). They testify that when they did not lean on Christ, the trajectory of their lives was heartache, but with Him there is freedom, joy and life abundant!
