Their Story
Regina and Chris have been so incredible in my life! They guided me to a life that I know I would not have if it was not for them. A long time ago, I found myself broken hearted and lost after a bad break up. Regina reached out to me and told me she was starting a girl’s group and thought I could benefit from it. I found an excuse not to go to the first group because I was scared but eventually made it there once a week for about a year. Being able to share feelings and experiences with the other girls was really eye opening and beneficial. I cried every time and it felt so good. I was able to believe in myself enough to go back to school and I even made a commitment to stop drinking for one year. By the end of that year, I had straight A’s and a new boyfriend that would later become my husband. I am immensely proud to say that I am now an RN working in the NICU and I am married with 2 beautiful girls. It was a struggle, but Regina was always there to talk to me and keep me focused. She always believed in me and I honestly view her like a mother. She always made me feel important and worthy. We may not talk as much as we used to, but I know she is just a phone call away if I need her. I love them both so much and feel eternally grateful for them!
